One way to appreciate something is to imagine life without it. Without funding support from the Vincent Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Vincent Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Massachusetts General Hospital would lack many resources that help us advance women’s healthcare. Today, federal research grants are increasingly tight, so having the funds to sustain productive science is more important than ever.

The Vincent Foundation allows us to offer four of the nation’s strongest OB/GYN fellowships programs,  in which young physician-scientists explore novel ideas and hypotheses. It also provides key funding to the Vincent Center for Reproductive Biology (VCRB),where laboratory discoveries serve as the springboard for promising new clinical treatments. Among recent findings are the cellular signals exploited by an aggressive form of endometrial cancer, leading to clinical studies of a new drug to block these signals. VCRB scientists also are exploring molecular factors that cause preterm labor and how microbes in the reproductive tract influence immunity and inflammation.

Your ongoing support of the Vincent Memorial Hospital Foundation makes all this can happen. I thank you for your commitment and dedication.
